Lane Perception Brochure

I had this scanned a while ago but I got to the last page and noticed a piece of cat fur on the scan. I went back to scan it again and yep, the program froze and all of the pictures were lost so (after a few choice words) I got disgusted and left the room. I'm happy to say I finally rescanned them and they are ready to post! Unfortunately I have now had the dining room set up for too long so the table has become cluttered with mail and such and I don't have a picture of it yet so I will just have to post it later.Though you can see it in its original habitat here.
This is the tag from the dining room set which my grandma carefully tucked in the drawer.

If only they had decided to get the hutch along with the buffet I would have a huuge area to display my vintage dish addiction.

For a minute I thought maybe they accidentally bought a dresser but the buffet does have silverware drawers so that eliminates that theory. I still want the hutch for the top!

I didn't know so much Perception furniture existed. I guess you could furnish the whole house.

  1. I have (use) my mother's dresser, double bed frame, and mirror that her father bought her in 1961. Over the years I have found the buffet, dining room table and four chairs, and two nightstands IN THRIFT STORES. Talk about lucky finds. I have this brochure, too. When I found it in a drawer of the buffet I figured furnishing the whole house was a worthy plan!

  2. Gesh, the only other piece of this set I have even seen (which also was in Denver) was a coffee table with a $300 price tag. That's over my $25 limit :o)

  3. That $300 coffee table probably is a Paul McCobb for Lane.

  4. It was a Perception table with the woven drawer front. According to what I have found Warren Church designed my dining set? I'm not sure if McCobb did any of the pieces for this line but McCobb or not, it was still over my $25 limit. heehee. My living room is Acclaim so my goal is one of those coffee tables anyways.

  5. Thanks for posting the Perception brochure. I found the buffet in a local antique store, and thought it was a steal at $250. It's now my media console.

  8. I just bought 6 chairs off Craigslist, and thanks to you, now know the table that came with them isn't the original table. Still, such a beautiful line of furniture. Bookmarking for future reference!

  18. I inherited a buffet w/ hutch & dining room table w/ 6 chairs, this same series. As much as I love it (grew up with it) my wife doesn't. I've been storing it in my basement the last 2 years. Will probably put up for sale, please email if interested. mahoganyrushrox@gmail.com
